Georgia’s Public Service Agency announced that all of its structural units will be closed from January 1 through January 4. During this period, several administrative deadlines related to driving exams, vehicle customs clearance, license plates and official certificates will be automatically extended.

The agency stated that driving license exam schedules affected by the closure will be shifted to January 5–9. Applicants whose 30-day deadline to pass the first stage of the practical driving test (the driving range) fell between January 1 and January 4 will be granted one additional attempt during the January 5–9 period.

Vehicle-related deadlines will also be adjusted. Individuals who have reserved or stored state license plates and whose reservation period expires during the closure will receive an automatic extension until January 5. Similarly, vehicle owners whose final customs clearance date falls between January 1 and January 4 will not face penalties; January 5 will be recognized as the new deadline.

The agency also clarified procedures for document certification services. Applicants who were scheduled to obtain apostilled or legalized certificates on January 1, 2, or 3 will be able to collect them on January 5. In all other cases, document processing timelines will continue to be calculated according to legally established deadlines.
