The untapped potential of cooperation between the two countries in the transport and logistics sectors and the significance of intensified partnership in trade and economics were among the key topics discussed by and between Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to the hosting President for the warm welcome and invited him to Georgia at his convenience.
The PM noted that, by taking into account the close political and economic relations, Georgia does not only deem Uzbekistan a significant and reliable partner, but as a friend too. The discussion was related to the productive cooperation existing between the two countries in the economy and various other sectors, thereby highlighting the positive trend of bilateral trade volumes. Readiness was expressed at the meeting towards further deepening of the existing cooperation. Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to Mirziyoyev for the unwavering support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
