PM Garibashvili

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, once again, asked the population to get vaccinated, he noted, lockdown is not a solution, it results in even worse – people’s starvation.

“The tendency in the world is that everyone is going against these global, large-scale lockdowns. No one adopts strict lockdowns. They make local restrictions, certain regulations, which we will have to introduce and we have already started yesterday. But lockdown is not a reasonable and the only solution. This is a temporary solution, which results in even worse – people starve to death, lose their jobs, depression, and nihilism take root in society. Therefore, I would like to ask you once again to get involved in the vaccination process.

The Prime Minister noted that the Parliament should set an example to the people and show that vaccination is the only way to maintain economic growth.
