Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines has canceled flights from Kutaisi International Airport for June, GASA, the airline’s sales agent in Georgia, says.
Earlier, GASA stated that Pegasus had also canceled flights scheduled for May due to aviation fuel-related issues.
The company says the June cancellations are linked to rising fuel prices, which it says have created difficulties for the global aviation industry.
“Pegasus Airlines’ flights planned for June to Kutaisi will no longer be operated within the framework of an operational decision related to the increase in fuel prices,” GASA stated.
The airline continues to operate flights from Tbilisi and Batumi international airports. Flights to Kutaisi are expected to resume in July.
