Nia Imnadze, who was arrested last night in connection with the Giga Avaliani case, has been transferred from St. Michael the Archangel Hospital to the ZAHES temporary detention facility, TV Pirveli reported.
Imnadze was taken to hospital after becoming unwell during her arrest. She has now been discharged and moved to the detention facility.
Based on the available information, Imnadze was detained under Article 25/117(3)(l) of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which concerns incitement to intentional grievous bodily harm committed by a group.
She is expected to be formally charged later today.
Nia Imnadze is a former student of murdered teacher Giga Avaliani and the girlfriend of one of the main individuals convicted in the case.
