New Year Gala Concert in Tbilisi to be Held without Spectators

Due to the pandemic, New Year events in Tbilisi will be held in different formats. For the first time this year, the population of the capital will not be able to attend the New Year’s concert and it will be broadcasted live on TV. The New Year gala concert will start at 23:00.

The City Hall reports that the New Year gala concert will be held at the Palace of State Ceremonies, where the participants will perform on a specially arranged stage.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says the year 2020 was full of difficulties and problems, and the struggle against the coronavirus is not over.

“We all understand how difficult the situation is, we work and we try our best to stand by everyone and express our support in this difficult situation,” he noted.
