Kutaisi International Airport reports that the decision to land the Kutaisi-Barcelona flight back in Kutaisi International Airport was made due to the alleged presence of explosive substances on board.
“A few minutes after takeoff, the Kutaisi-Barcelona flight landed back at the Kutaisi International Airport.
“The reason was the information provided by the airline about the probable presence of an explosive substance on board, on the basis of which the crew decided to return the flight to Kutaisi airport.
“All relevant services are mobilized on site and are investigating the threat,” reads the announcement.
