Georgia will host World Tourism Day in 2024, as the country received this title in Riyadh, Arabia.
“The World Tourism Organization of the United Nations unanimously supported Georgia, which is yet another recognition of our country,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Maia Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration, participated in the event dedicated to the 2023 World Tourism Day in Riyadh.
“Georgia continues to be an attractive tourist destination in the world. Being a host country will give us an opportunity to host approximately 3 thousand leading tourism industries and companies in the aviation sector.
We will be able to present Georgia’s tourism and investment potential. With this victory, we have taken another step towards Georgia’s recognition, raising awareness, and, most importantly, strengthening the tourism industry of our country,” she said.
The Georgian delegation participated in a working session and bilateral meetings.
