Due to Being Absent this Year, MPs had 80 thousand GEL Deducted from their Salary

Retaining salary of the members of the Parliament will be used for charity events. The issue was voted on today at the session of the Bureau.

As the Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili said, due to the absence of the sessions or other parliamentary events due to dishonest reasons, during the current year, the MPs were desucted a total of 80,000 GEL. As he noted, 77% of the deducted money belongs to the opposition members of the parliament, which is about 60,000 GEL.

Members of the parliament will be deducted 10% of their salary due to the absence of the parliamentary events.
