Coronavirus: Georgia Records 159 New Cases, 13730 Tests Conducted

Georgia reported 159 coronavirus cases, 328 recoveries, and 2 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

13,730 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country, including 9,275 rapid tests and 4,455 PCRs.

The testing revealed that Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 89 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 23 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 12 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1,\.16 %, while it was 1.53 % in the past 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases reached 275,148, among them 268,565 people recovered and 3,650 died.

Presently, there are 2,933 active cases of infection in the country.

Currently, out of 269 critical patients, 75 require mechanical ventilation.
