Center Point Founder Maia Rcheulishvili Released from Prison

Maia Rcheulishvili, convicted in the case of construction company Center Point Group, has been released from custody. She was met by family members and relatives near the prison.

A plea agreement was signed between Maia Rcheulishvili and the prosecution today. The Tbilisi Court of Appeals upheld the agreement.

Her lawyer claims that compensation for the victims is being provided by investors in stages.

For the record, Maia Rcheulishvili was sentenced to 7 years in prison in the ‘Center Point’ case. The Founder and Head of Center Point was accused of embezzling funds.
