Due to avalanche risk, traffic on the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway is temporarily restricted between kilometers 185-192 (Ushguli-Lasdili). The Roads Department announced the closure, pointing out safety concerns for all vehicles.
At the same time, movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited between kilometers 70-184 (Khaishi-Ushguli) on the same highway, while other vehicles are allowed to pass without an issue.
Traffic remains fully open on the Zugdidi-Khaishi section (km 1-69), ensuring access to lower-altitude areas. Authorities urge drivers to remain cautious and stay updated on road conditions.
