German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on his appointment.

The congratulatory letter states that Germany will continue to support Georgia’s economic development, pro-European reforms, and territorial integrity.

“Dear Prime Minister, Congratulations on your re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia. The very good bilateral relations between our countries create a credible framework for trusting cooperation between our governments.

Germany, which is following the current political negotiations in your country with interest, will continue to support Georgia’s economic development, pro-European reforms, as well as territorial integrity.

I wish you every success in your responsible position at a time full of challenges,” the letter reads.
