Doctor Konstantine Chakhunashvili, one of the medical experts interviewed in the BBC’s investigative film, has been summoned for questioning by the State Security Service. Chakhunashvili announced this on social media.
“I was summoned for questioning by the State Security Service. They are now coming to Tsitsishvili Clinic to deliver the document. I requested to give testimony before a judge,” he wrote.
The BBC recently published an investigation alleging that the chemical agent Camite was used to disperse protests in November–December 2024 — a substance last deployed during World War I. The report examined the effects of the agent and included findings from medical professionals. Doctor Chakhunashvili was one of the key respondents providing expert commentary for the investigation.
