Mariam Chanturaia, Guram Tushishvili, and Eter Liparteliani delivered crucial victories for Georgia in the final, while Luka Maisuradze, Sofia Somkhishvili, and Mikheil Bakhbakhishvili fell to their Italian opponents.
On their way to the gold medal match, Georgia recorded dominant wins over Azerbaijan (4-0), Austria (4-1), and Germany (4-0).
This triumph adds to an already impressive showing in the individual events, where Georgian judokas secured four medals. Giorgi Sardalashvili and Ilia Sulamanidze claimed European titles, while Eter Liparteliani and Tato Grigalashvili earned silver medals.
