The opposition and their supporters returned from Melikishvili Avenue to Chavchavadze Avenue, and the protest is again ongoing near the first building of Tbilisi State University.
Elene Khoshtaria, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, announced that the protest will continue throughout the night.
Law enforcement officers, standing on Melikishvili Avenue, at first tried to prevent the rally-goers from moving towards Chavchavadze Avenue. The police were then withdrawn.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a total of 16 people this morning after an overnight camp-out rally on Chavchavadze and Melikishvili avenues.
