Parliament sittings within the extraordinary session will not be held due to the refusal of the parliamentary majority to participate, which means that the sittings cannot be opened due to the lack of quorum.
Member of the parliamentary majority, Givi Mikanadze, announced the decision of the ruling team at a briefing held in the Parliament.
“We declare once again that we are not going to participate in the parallel, sabotage process planned by the radical opposition, which has no prospects for an outcome. None of the 81 members of our faction will participate in the extraordinary session”, said Mikanadze.
Earlier, President Salome Zurabishvili considered the opposition’s request and called an extraordinary session for July 18.
