“There are issues that will be raised today. We will discuss these issues. We want our society to know the truth about the situation in Georgia today, so that we can have a common opinion,” MP Mikheil Kavelashvili, who left the Georgian Dream and his parliamentary post, told reporters.
He noted that after leaving the Georgian Dream party, he and his three colleagues will have more opportunities to tell the truth to the public so as not to harm the Georgian Dream.
“Our society, in our opinion, is not provided with the truth they need to know, and we, the three of us, have decided that in this way we can provide more information so as not to harm the Georgian Dream. There are issues that will be raised. We will discuss these issues. We want our society to know the truth about the situation in Georgia today, so that we can have a common opinion, especially among our voters.
“We believe that in some issues we have had discomfort before, that the public needs to know more information, for example – in relation to these 12 points, the EU, the European Parliament, the European Commission, [Georgian Dream] is the ruling force and should continue, and we will have the freedom to provide more truth to society,” Kavelashvili said.
Sozar Subari, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Dimitri Khundadze have left the Georgian Dream party, faction and parliamentary positions. The deputies say they believe that more information about political developments should be disseminated from behind the scenes, and a free parliamentary mandate is needed to voice this, otherwise, it may create inconveniences within the team.
