The President of Georgia has issued an ordinance on holding an open competition for the CEC chairmanship and CEC membership candidates and setting up a competition commission, reports the Presidential Administration.
The open competition has been announced for the selection of candidates for the two vacant positions of CEC Chairperson and CEC member. Also, with an order of the President, a competition commission was established, which consists of:
Giorgi Kldiashvili – A (A) IP – Executive Director of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information, Chairman of the Commission;
Nikoloz Simonishvili – A (A) IP – Chairman of the Georgian Young Lawyers Association;
Tatia Kinkladze – A (A) IP – Coordinator of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy Project;
Levan Natroshvili – A (A) IP – Transparency International – Program Manager of Georgia;
Arnold Stepanian – A (A) IP – Union General – Chairman at Public Movement “Multinational Georgia;”
Zviad Gabisonia – LEPL – Professor, Faculty of Law and International Relations, Georgian Technical University;
Marine Chitashvili – LEPL – Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Psychology and Education, Professor;
Sophio Midelashvili – LEPL – Professor, Faculty of Law and International Relations, Georgian Technical University, Secretary of the Commission;
Giorgi Iashvili – LEPL – Professor of the Faculty of Design, Tbilisi Apolon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts;
Revaz Kldiashvili – LEPL – Professor, Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Georgian Technical University;
Shalva Kurdadze – A (A) IP – Associate Professor of the School of Humanities and Law of the St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Georgian Patriarchate.
