The 2024 Paris Olympics which ran from July 26 to August 11, has ended.
The US leads with the number of medals (40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze), while China comes next (40 gold, 27 silver, 24 bronze).
The US and China have been leading countries for decades, which is not surprising taking into account the material and human resources of these countries.
However, the world media accentuates different statistics after the completion of the Paris Olympics stressing the number of medals per capita and here other countries are leaders.
According to Eurosport, Georgia ranks seventh with number of gold medals per capita.
