Georgian UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili has been named the 2025 Fighter of the Year at the World MMA Awards and was awarded the Charles Lewis Award during the ceremony in Las Vegas.
Dvalishvili became the first Georgian athlete to win the award in this category.
With the victory, Dvalishvili joined the list of fighters who have previously won the Fighter of the Year title, including Alex Pereira, Alexander Volkanovski, Israel Adesanya, Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre, and Anderson Silva.
