Tamar Gabunia, the Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia, stated at the briefing, starting school with attendance cannot be allowed, until the epidemic situation stabilizes.
Gabunia noted that the resumption of learning in the school environment is a desirable model for everyone, the last thing that should be stopped affected with covid regulations is learning in the school environment but also added the epidemic situation in the country is quite serious.
“The current epidemiological situation is quite difficult. Until the epidemic situation is stabilized enough to ensure a safe school environment, of course, no decision can be made. The vaccination process is also important. Vaccination of pedagogical staff is very active. Thus, epidemiological situation and vaccination rate will be two preconditions,” Tamar Gabunia said.
