The first US-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue is being held in Azerbaijan on June 2 as part of the Baku Energy Corridor, with senior US officials present in Baku.
The meeting is organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and the US Department of State and is taking place under the US-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan said.
It added that US and Azerbaijani business representatives will also take part in a special dialogue session, where several cooperation documents and commercial agreements are expected to be signed.
Separately, ‘Baku Energy Week’ is also taking place as part of a wider series of energy-focused meetings. The Azerbaijani side says contracts worth $8 billion have already been signed with various stakeholders during the event.
