A Ukrainian drone attack injured 12 people, including two children, in the Russian city of Belgorod near the border with Ukraine, regional authorities said early on Monday.
Officials say several apartments in a residential building caught fire following the attack, while more than 15 vehicles were also set ablaze. Emergency services responded to the scene, and the injured were taken for medical treatment.
In a separate attack, a Ukrainian aerial strike damaged an apartment building in Rostov-on-Don, a major Russian export hub on the Sea of Azov. Rostov-on-Don Mayor Aleksandr Skryabin said the building sustained damage during the overnight attack but did not immediately report any casualties.
The incidents come as Ukraine continues to target military and logistical infrastructure inside Russia with long-range drones, while Russian regions bordering Ukraine have reported increasingly frequent aerial attacks.
