Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he held a meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Maka Bochorishvili, on the sidelines of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers session, describing it as an opportunity to continue a “transparent, pragmatic and constructive” dialogue between Ukraine and Georgia.
In a post on social media, Sybiha said the meeting served as a direct continuation of the recent dialogue between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, which took place during the recent summit of the European Political Community.
“I had an excellent opportunity to meet with my Georgian colleague, Maka Bochorishvili, during the ministerial session of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers,” Sybiha wrote.
Ukrainian foreign minister said the sides discussed a broad bilateral agenda, cooperation within international organizations — particularly GUAM — as well as recent political developments in the region stretching from Europe to the South Caucasus.
“We discussed a broad bilateral agenda, our cooperation in international organizations, particularly GUAM, and the latest political dynamics in the common space based on shared values from Europe to the South Caucasus. We continue developing a transparent, pragmatic and constructive Ukrainian-Georgian dialogue,” Sybiha stated.
