The United Kingdom is extremely concerned about the veto of the bill on transparency of foreign influence, the British Embassy said in a statement.
“We still believe that the draft law is a backward step and will harm Georgia’s efforts on the way to integration with Euro-Atlantic institutions,” the statement reads.
The Parliament overcame the President’s veto on the bill “On transparency of foreign influence”. The project presented by the Georgian Dream faction and vetoed by Salome Zurabishvili was supported by 84 votes.
