Georgian Parliament has two new deputies, Salome Jinjolava and Giorgi Khakhubia. They joined Parliament as part of the ruling majority.
The Parliament ratified the credentials of Jinjolava with 90 votes and Khakhubia with 91 votes.
“The Committee has discussed the material provided by the Central Election Commission concerning the ratification of the credentials of Salome Jinjolava as the substitution to the MP Maia Menagarishvili The Committee considered it expedient to approve the ratification of the credentials of Salome Jinjolava,” the Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili stated.
“The Committee has discussed the material provided by the Central Election Commission concerning the ratification of the credentials of Giorgi Khakhubia elected by the majoritarian system in the Constituency N26 through the by-elections on April 29, 2023. The Committee considered it expedient to approve the ratification of the credentials of Giorgi Khakhubia,” Kadagishvili stated.
