Explosions were reported in industrial areas of Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic on the morning of August 13, with local authorities saying the region had come under a Ukrainian drone attack.
Meanwhile, independent Russian outlet ASTRA reported, citing eyewitnesses, that the fire broke out at the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery. ASTRA said it also confirmed the location of the fire by analyzing footage circulating online.
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is a subsidiary of Gazprom and operates one of Russia’s largest petrochemical complexes. The facility was previously targeted by Ukrainian drones in September 2025 and July 2026.
A separate attack was reported at Wildberries warehouses in Bashkortostan’s Chishmy district. ASTRA and the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ initially reported the incident, which was later confirmed by Wildberries.
The company said an air attack caused a fire at its facility in an industrial zone and that employees were evacuated.
Ukrainian forces have targeted Wildberries warehouses in various Russian regions since July 18, with more than 20 facilities reportedly affected. According to Russian Forbes estimates, Wildberries lost at least 17% of its warehouse capacity in July, with losses estimated at around 280 billion rubles.
