TV Pirveli cameraman Niko Kokaia was injured during the protest near Tbilisi Mall yesterday.
The police hurled insults at the camera crew and sought to damage their equipment.
Based on the preliminary information, Kokaia sustained a head injury and inhaled tear gas. The medics provided him with first aid.
Reportedly, Kokaia says he just survived a neck fracture.
The TV channel’s management blamed Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri for the incident.
