Tbilisi International Airport has upgraded its aerodrome infrastructure, a project with an investment of 6.5 million GEL from TAV Georgia. Through this initiative, new aircraft parking lots were built, while existing ones were improved.
“As part of the upgrade, we have built a brand-new parking stand for wide-body aircraft classified under ICAO’s ‘F’ and ‘E’ codes,” the company stated.
The new stand covers 18,000 m², enhancing the airport’s capacity for larger planes. Additionally, a 12,500m² area designated for narrow-body aircraft (ICAO’s “C” code) and a 3,500 m² section for helicopter parking have been upgraded.
Overall, TAV Georgia has invested $225 million in Georgia’s aviation industry over the past 20 years.
