Unarchived Semiotics in collaboration with Art Conference Tbilisi is pleased to announce “Poetics of Perception,” an exhibition showcasing video works by Kristine Tusiashvili, opening on November 22, 2024 6pm-8pm. This exhibition examines the relationship between memory, identity, and the body as a social construct, offering a critical perspective on how these elements intersect within contemporary contexts.
Tusiashvili’s practice, rooted in performance and photography, constructs a visual language that interrogates the performative nature of identity and the pervasive influence of societal norms on individual and collective narratives. Her works recontextualize everyday gestures and objects, addressing the tensions between personal agency and social expectations while inviting viewers to reflect on the processes through which self-perception is shaped.
“Poetics of Perception” underscores the complexities of the human experience in a time marked by constant transformation.
The exhibition is presented by unarchived_semiotics in collaboration with Art Conference Tbilisi and curated by Mariam Shergelashvili.
