PM: US, EU Support Higher than Ever, We Need to Maintain it!

“Ultimately, international partners that are directly engaged in addressing this problem of polarization as facilitators of the mediation process deserve our gratitude, of course,” Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia, said when addressing the annual meeting engaging heads of overseas diplomatic missions of Georgia,  labeled as the ‘Conference of Ambassadors 2020 – Foreign Policy Priorities of Georgia within the Global Pandemic, New Challenges and Opportunities,’ held in an online format today.

According to the PM, US and EU support to Georgia is higher than ever before, and we “need to do our best to maintain this level of backing.”

“Naturally, when the process directly engages ambassadors of our strategic partners – EU and USA – it clearly demonstrates to our citizens that the democratic process as such is of great importance to our strategic partners. It also evidences a high level of support from strategic partners of Georgia. It is yet another manifestation of the results achieved in recent years, with great merit to you. Of course, US and EU support to Georgia is higher than ever before and we need to do our best to maintain this level of backing,” he concluded.
