PM of Lithuania: 11 Days’ War Was Ended with Peace Deal but Peace Never Came, Because Appeasement Only Nourishes Aggressor’s Appetite

Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė wrote on Twitter that Lithuania stands with Georgia in condemning Russia’s aggression, and in support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“On 8 Aug 2008, Russia invaded Georgia.

The 11 days’ war was ended with a peace deal but the peace never came, because appeasement only nourishes the aggressor’s appetite.

On 8 Aug 2008, 🇷🇺 invaded Georgia.
