The truth has been revealed! It is all clear now that our compatriot – former Minister of Defense Kezerashvili is referred to as a swindler of international magnitude! – announced Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting today.

The PM noted the investigation services of Georgia have been actively cooperating with their German counterparts for the past two years over the “call center” case.

Garibashvili claimed the radical and extremist opposition was financed with money stolen by Kezerashvili.

“I wish to comment on a most alarming fact. I am referring to an international, transnational crime, which has been investigated and a case of so-called Call Centers has been solved. Why do I want to comment on this? First of all, it evidences a fraudulent scheme of unseen, unprecedented magnitude that was carried out and almost 1 billion USD or Euros have been stolen in countries of Europe. In real terms, you may recall constant accusations of the radical, extremist opposition for almost a year that were or are still funded with these stolen, looted money. It is not only shameful, but an alarming occurrence. We have had very intense cooperation with the investigation services of Germany. Our agencies were actively working for probably two years. It was a very labor-intensive work that was carried out jointly. We made a significant contribution in investigating this case of international fraud. Truth has been revealed. It is all clear now that unfortunately our compatriot – former Minister of Defense Kezerashvili is already referred to as a swindler of international magnitude. It is catastrophic, of course! It is further more alarming that this individual, who stole money from the army prior to that and was racketeering businesses is now masterminding a pan-European fraudulent scheme of unseen nature. His company has been stealing money from pensioners. Losses account for a billion dollars. Thus, I want to tell our European friends that when the so-called radical, extremist opposition officials meet our European friends and partners, they need to know that they are meeting representatives of a party funded by the robber of their citizens. It is, of course, a shameful fact. I am happy though that the truth has been revealed. You may recall that last year they were claiming the opposite, as if authorities of the country were engaged in this wrongdoing and now the BBC [British Broadcasting Company] eventually revealed the truth and the entire society is now aware of this. Thus, instead of being engaged in routine destructive activities, opposition representatives should be apologizing on a daily basis to our society and now – the European one as well, thereby giving explanations on why the entire opposition spectrum – almost every opposition party and their television companies – was funded with stolen money… money stolen from European pensioners. I wanted to comment on this. I also wish to thank our investigation services that were engaged in solving this most complex case together with their European colleagues, who worked rather intensively. I hope that every offender engaged in this fraudulent scheme will be held accountable,” concluded Garibashvili.
