Peter Fischer wrote on Twitter that he is to serve as the German Ambassador to Georgia. Fischer will replace Hubert Knirsch, who has held the position of ambassador since 2018.
“Some personal news: At the end of August, Maria and I will be transferring to Tbilisi where I will have the honor of serving as German Ambassador to Georgia. Watch this space,” Tweeted Fischer.
Since 2018, Fischer has been the German Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
