Nikoloz Basilashvili’s Ex-Wife: He Hit Me with His Suitcase

“He grabbed me by my hair, there were several methods of violence. When he was packing his luggage, he would turn and hit me time by time. This violence lasted for such a long time, I couldn’t understand what was happening, I was very afraid,” Neka Dorokashvili, ex-wife of tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili, said while evaluating the video recordings presented at the trial.

The content of the video footage, Dorokashvili noted, showed a conflict between them that took place while they were at a hotel in the US, when Nikoloz Basilashvili hit her with a bag containing rackets. She claimed that the recording is dated 2018.

“After hitting me with the suitcase, he hit me by his hand and then fell on me with his body, calling me bastard. There was a question, why my phone was switched off”, said Neka Dorokashvili.

Neka Dorokashvili’s voice addressing her husband can also be heard in the recording: “Tell me why you are hitting me. If you don’t want me, get away from me, I do not need you. You are not worth my tears”, Dorokashvili tells Basilashvili in the video.
