The National Assessment and Examinations Center says more than 43,000 applicants registered for the Unified National Examinations this year, around 4,000 more than in 2025.
The Center says the total number of registered candidates for the 2026 Unified National, Master’s and Teacher’s Examinations exceeded 82,000.
More than 10,000 candidates registered for the Master’s Examination, while over 29,000 participants signed up for Teacher and Teacher Candidate Exams.
The National Assessment and Examinations Center says the figures reflect high interest in the exams among applicants, master’s candidates and prospective teachers.
The Center also highlights growing demand for state universities, saying the trend underscores the continued priority of public higher education institutions among applicants.
It also notes increasing interest in vocational education, which it says will help train qualified personnel in line with labor market demands.
Registration for the Unified National and Common Master’s Exams began on April 6 and ended on May 11.
The Center says applicants will be able to make changes to their educational programs — including additions, deletions and transfers — until 18:00 on the day after appeal results are published.
