Mikheil Saakashvili: I Am Already in Georgia

Mikheil Saakashvili has released another video saying he is in Batumi, and stated that he is to be in Tbilisi on October 3. He calls on citizens to protest the upcoming election results.

“We should go to the polls and vote for the United National Movement. By no means vote for Ivanishvili, nor for Gakharia, who promises to lock me up in prison, nor for the parties that obviously take money from Ivanishvili, but for other parties that you have sympathies with and consider honest. I urge you to vote. But, of course, first is Nika Melia and the National Movement. On October 2nd we count the votes and on the 3rd we must fill Freedom Square. When we are 100,000 people, I am sure no force can defeat us. Of course, I will join you,” Saakashvili said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied rumors of the alleged arrival of the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, and said that Saakashvili has not crossed the Georgian border.

Mikheil Saakashvili posted on his Facebook page that everybody should realize that “voting for the Georgian Dream will be the signing of a death sentence for Georgia.” He calls on citizens to gather for a protest on October 3.

“On the morning of October 3, we should move from all over Georgia to Tbilisi to defend the election results. I will join one such convoys.

“So my request is for the convoy to be numerous and powerful so that they cannot stop me. If the usurping government has managed to arrest me before, it should further strengthen our power. Either way, I will not back down and hopefully neither will you.”
