Memorandum of Understanding Signed between Northeastern University and Alte University

Memorandum of Understanding Signed between Northeastern University and Alte University

Alte University has officially announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Northeastern University and Alte University. According to the memorandum, the institutions may explore cooperation in various educational activities, including interaction of faculty, scholars and students between Institutions; arranging joint trainings, seminars, webinars; educational program partnerships; joint development of curricula and academic projects; collaboration in academic publications and other materials of mutual interest based on the aforementioned activities and etc. Also the project is being prepared by the Northeastern university within the Dialog of Civilization Program that will take place in Tbilisi at Alte University. The title of the project is as follows: Georgia: Second Heaven between Europe and Asia.

“The collaboration between Northeastern University and Alte University will create a lot of unique opportunities for our students and faculty members. The experience that Northeastern University will share with us will be of significant importance for Georgian educational sphere. I strongly believe that this is just a beginning of very strong, mutually beneficial partnership and various important projects are just ahead of us” – commented Ramaz Kukuladze, President, Alte University.

“I’m excited to offer Northeastern students an experiential opportunity to study the dynamic economic transformation and transculturation processes associated with political change in the field, and examine how Georgia has dealt with the difficult transition from a planned economy to capitalism in the first global experiential learning program stemming from this collaboration between Northeastern and Alte Universities“ – commented Yakov Bart, Associate Professor of Marketing at Northeastern University and Faculty Leader of the Dialogue of Civilizations program titled Georgia: Second Heaven between Europe and Asia.
