The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, responds to the meeting with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, in the social media and states that France hopes that the October 26 elections will allow Georgia to return to the European path.
“Dear Salome, I am glad to host you in Paris! France welcomes the European and democratic aspirations of the Georgian people. We hope that the October 26 elections will allow Georgia to return to the European path,” Macron wrote on Facebook.
President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, met with her French counterpart yesterday.
Prior to that, the Georgian President met with Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, and Charles Michel, European Council President.
