Mzia Amaglobeli, founder of the Batumelebi and Netgazeti media outlets, has been transferred from the Vivamedi clinic back to a penitentiary facility, her lawyers confirmed to GPB First Channel.
Amaglobeli was hospitalized from prison at the Vivamedi clinic on February 4 for medical evaluation and remained there until recently. On February 18, she announced in a letter her decision to end a 38-day hunger strike.
Detained on charges of assaulting a police officer, Amaglobeli was placed in pre-trial detention by the Batumi City Court on January 14.
