Landslide reported in Tkibuli municipality as emergency teams evacuate residents

The Emergency Management Service of Georgia a landslide has occurred in the village of Kursebi, located in Tkibuli Municipality.

Emergency response teams have been mobilized at the site of the disaster, including firefighters, rescue personnel and representatives from various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Specialized equipment has also been deployed to assist in response efforts.

Rescue teams are currently conducting evacuation operations to move residents to safe locations, the agency said. Authorities reported that no injuries have been confirmed so far, although emergency teams remain on the ground assessing the situation.

Officials have urged people currently in the village to avoid unnecessary movement and follow instructions issued by law enforcement and emergency personnel working in the area.

The Emergency Management Service said rescue operations are ongoing as authorities continue monitoring the situation and assisting local residents.
