The “Union of Georgian Airports,” the operator of Kutaisi International Airport, has released a tender via the National State Procurement Agency’s website for the construction of a new aircraft stand. The entire project is expected to cost around 11.4 million GEL.

As per the tender’s stipulations, the rehabilitation process must be executed in a manner that does not impede the movement of aircraft. The document outlines, “During the works, the traffic of the airport special transport should be ensured in the project area, which is why the works should be carried out in stages, first on one half, maintaining traffic on the other half, and then vice versa.”

Furthermore, it emphasizes the necessity for the organization of traffic and the demarcation of work areas to be conducted in a manner that guarantees a high level of safety throughout the period of rehabilitation and reconstruction.

In accordance with the tender conditions for airport unification, bidders are required to demonstrate experience in performing similar types of works within the past 3 years, with a contract value of no less than 60 million GEL.

The acceptance of proposals for the tender commences on October 4 and concludes on October 10.
