Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met with representatives of the US Department of State, announced the Government Administration of Georgia.
Administration says the meeting focused on the importance of resetting Georgia–US relations and strengthening the strategic partnership based on a concrete roadmap.
“The Prime Minister once again reaffirmed the Georgian Government’s readiness to renew bilateral relations from a clean slate, grounded in mutual respect.
It was noted that the US State Department’s interest in Georgia is welcome, as evidenced by the intensification of contacts in recent months.
Emphasis was placed on Georgia’s role as a trusted and reliable partner in the region. The Prime Minister stated that Georgia remains ready to continue contributing to efforts aimed at ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region,” the Government Administration said in a statement.
The meeting was also attended by Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, and Head of the Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani.
