Interior Minister Gets Vaccinated with Sinopharm

Today, on 5 May, Vakhtang Gomelauri, Minister of Internal Affairs, was publicly vaccinated against coronavirus with the Chinese-made vaccine Sinopharm.

Employees of the ministry will also be vaccinated.

“I was vaccinated with Chinese-made Sinopharm. I have taken this step because I want to call on everyone, first of all the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to get vaccinated, whether it is with Sinopharm or another vaccine. Unfortunately, the situation worldwide is getting worse by the day, including in our country. Everyone with suitable health should get vaccinated,” Gomelauri said.

Vaccination with Sinopharm started in Georgia yesterday, May 4. The demand for vaccine jabs is quite high.

At present, all three vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm) are being administered nationwide in 91 facilities with 137 brigades.
