Independence Is Your Decision

On May 26, Georgia’s Independence Day, TBC traditionally marks the occasion with a special campaign, sharing this year’s key message with the public: Independence is your decision.

This year marks 108 years since the declaration of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia and 34 years since the restoration of the country’s independence. TBC was founded alongside independent Georgia in 1992 — a brand whose history has evolved in parallel with the country’s modern development and which sees the idea of independence reflected in its work, initiatives, and technology-driven solutions that simplify everyday life for people.

For TBC, the idea of independence has always been an integral part of the brand’s identity — the belief that a country’s progress is shaped by people who trust in their own abilities, ideas, and future. Guided by these values, for 33 years TBC has been creating business, technological, educational, and cultural experiences that make daily life easier, help people achieve their goals, and reinforce the idea that independence begins with a personal decision.

“May 26 is a particularly meaningful date for us, because TBC was created and grew together with independent Georgia. This day is a constant reminder that independence is a daily choice — to believe in yourself, in your work, and in the future of your country. We congratulate everyone on Georgia’s Independence Day,” said Giorgi Tkhelidze, CEO of TBC.

Over the years, TBC has marked May 26 with a number of inspiring campaigns, including animations, radio plays, the “School of Independence,” “Heroes,” “The Future Is Ours,” “Independence Starts with You,” “The Country of the Most Persistent People,” and other memorable initiatives reminding people that independence means self-belief, responsibility, choice, and determination. This year’s campaign continues that story.
