Georgian UFC fighter Ilia Topuria defeated American Max Holloway in the third round, successfully maintaining the featherweight championship belt.
Topuria declared he dedicated the victory to Georgia, with hopes that children will look up to his accomplishments. He mentioned that the first round was tougher due to his foot injury but he managed to find strength, nonetheless.
“It was emotional to become the first fighter to knock out Holloway. I realized that in just one year, I’ve knocked out both Holloway and Volkanovski,” he stated.
This triumph marks an outstanding record of 16 victories in 16 MMA fights.
