The National Assessment and Examination Center (NAEC) has published statistics on elective subjects chosen by applicants for the 2026 Unified National Examinations.

History and mathematics remain the most popular elective subjects among entrants.

More than 19,700 applicants selected history, while over 15,400 chose mathematics.

Biology was selected by more than 4,500 applicants.

Chemistry, civics, and geography were each chosen by more than 2,500 applicants.

More than 1,700 entrants selected literature, while physics was chosen by over 1,100 applicants.

Fine and applied arts was selected by more than 280 applicants.

“The data show that the interests of applicants are diverse and include both humanitarian and exact and natural science directions,” the NAEC stated. “The special demand for history and mathematics, like last year, is still maintained.”

The Center says the statistics reflect applicants’ interests, professional priorities, and demand for higher education programs.
