Georgia’s domestic exports reached $3.87 billion in January-June 2026, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period last year, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reported.
Foreign trade turnover in goods totaled $12.92 billion during the first six months of the year, up 5.8% year-on-year. Imports amounted to $9.04 billion, a 0.7% increase, while Georgia’s negative trade balance stood at $5.17 billion.
Passenger cars remained Georgia’s top export commodity despite a 22.9% annual decline, with exports totaling $938 million.
Oil and petroleum products ranked second, with exports reaching $486.9 million, a 974.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Precious metal ores and concentrates ranked third, with exports worth $304.3 million, up 74.3%.
Other major export products in January-June 2026 included ferroalloys ($147.6 million, +53.9%), copper ores and concentrates ($142 million, +287.4%), natural grape wines ($117.2 million, -3.7%), alcoholic beverages ($114.1 million, -7.4%), mineral and fresh waters without added sugar ($101 million, +12%), mineral and carbonated waters with sugar ($99.7 million, +23.8%), and nitrogen fertilizers ($81.1 million, +17.6%).
Geostat said Georgia’s largest export destinations in the first half of 2026 were Kyrgyzstan, China, and Azerbaijan, with exports totaling $431.8 million, $428.6 million, and $335.9 million, respectively.
