The National Statistics Office (Geostat) reported Georgia reduced its imports of books, brochures and other printed materials in the first eleven months of 2025. During January–November, the country imported 1,477 tons of printed products valued at $7.6 million, compared with $8 million and 1,585 tons over the same period in 2024.
The figures show a year-on-year decline of 5.4% in import value and 6.8% in physical volume, indicating a contraction in demand for printed materials.
Turkey remained Georgia’s leading supplier, accounting for $3.1 million worth of imports or 792 tons. Poland ranked second with shipments valued at $799,000 (44 tons), followed closely by the United Kingdom at $787,000 (41 tons).
Several other countries also contributed to Georgia’s printed material imports during the period. Iran supplied $707,000 worth of products (262 tons), China $658,000 (152 tons) and Germany $394,000 (28 tons). Smaller volumes were imported from Hong Kong, Russia, France and Belgium.
